School Song

Let us join in a song of St. Mary’s praise as we gladly tell the fame
Of the school where we spend such happy days and laud the Dominican name. Life’s at its morn for us here at school but whatever the future may bear.

We shall cherish the lessons we learnt ‘neath the rule of St. Mary’s loving care. Our badge and colours have meaning true to guide the years as they roll, the white of a blameless, noble life, the black of self-control.
The oldest Dominican school is ours and it’s glories we still must amass
So let us be true to the white and the black and our motto VERITAS

Pupils of St. Mary’s famed must be for gentleness, honour and truth so that our adult years may see fruits from the lessons of youth. Then let our song ring clear and true to gladden the hours as they pass. We are proud of our teachers, our colours, our school and our motto VERITAS.

The Angelus Prayer

The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.
And she conceived of the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary,...
Behold the handmaid of the Lord
Let it be done unto me according to thy word.
Hail Mary,…
And the Word was made flesh
And dwelt among us.
Hail Mary,...
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ

Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech thee, O Lord, thy grace into our hearts; that, we to whom the incarnation of Christ, thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by his passion and cross, be brought to the glory of his resurrection, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Come, Holy Spirit Come, O Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit, and they shall be created. And you will renew the face of the earth.
